GitHub License Compatibility Checker

Point DALICC at a public GitHub repository and it reads that repository's declared dependencies from libraries.io, resolves every reported license onto the DALICC license library, and checks the licenses it recognised for compatibility. Name a target license as well and the dependency licenses are checked against it too: may the combined work carry this license?

This is the License Compatibility Checker applied to a repository: the licenses of its dependencies are checked against the license you choose.

DALICC checks licenses against their models and does not replace legal advice. For a decision that matters, ask a lawyer.

Enter a repository as owner/name, for example psf/requests, or paste its address, for example https://github.com/psf/requests.

The license you would publish the combined work under. DALICC then checks the dependency licenses against it as well as against each other. Licenses created with the License Composer are unlisted: to use one, enter its identifier.

The repository owner and name you enter are sent to libraries.io, which resolves the declared dependencies. Nothing about you goes with them. Privacy notice.
