DEVELOPMENT VERSION: This is an experimental DALICC environment. Features, data and APIs may change or be reset without notice. A stable version of this service, with a potentially different feature set, will be made available soon at dalicc.net.

Changes to the license models

What DALICC changed in its curated models, when, and why.

A license model is corrected when a reading of the legal text turns out to be wrong. Every correction changes what the compatibility checker answers, so each change below names the reason behind it and links to the record it was made on.

  • GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later version 2 2026-09-24

    added Compatible With: GPL-3.0-or-later

Manual edit Section 13 reads: "Notwithstanding any other provision of this License, you have permission to link or combine any covered work with a work licensed under version 3 of the GNU General Public License into a single combined work, and to convey the resulting work." A work under this licence can therefore go into a combined work released under GPL-3.0; the GPL text says the same the other way round.

    changed SPDX identifier: "AGPL-3.0-only"

    was SPDX identifier: "AGPL-3.0"

Review finding The record carried the deprecated SPDX id "AGPL-3.0". SPDX replaced it with AGPL-3.0-only and AGPL-3.0-or-later; the record models no "any later version" option, so AGPL-3.0-only is the matching id.

    added Cure Period: "30 days"

Manual edit Section 13 is modelled at last: a dalicc:networkUseTrigger permission carrying a cc:SourceCode duty, for "your modified version must prominently offer all users interacting with it remotely through a computer network (if your version supports such interaction) an opportunity to receive the Corresponding Source of your version".
